Dear KSBO Bowler,

We had thirty teams show up at All Star Lanes on April 10th for the Round Table SWISS Trios sponsored this year by All Star Lanes.  This was the twenty-third year we have held the Trios.
The team that ended up winning did not do so until the tenth frame of the final game of the tournament.  Grey Chevrolet was in third place going into the twelfth game only one point out of the lead.  The first two teams were tied in points.  Grey Chevrolet swept Two Hooks and a Wrong while Round Table Pizza took four out of five from JD's Pro Shop.  At the end of the twelfth game we had another tie in points for first place. According to our rules total pins break all point ties and Grey Chevrolet had more total pins so they were declared the champions.  The team was Don Schiele (224.25), Randy Galla (214.91), and Brian VanWert (221.33).  They had a total of 42 points.  The low to cash was 33 points.  This is Don's eighth title, Randy's seventh, and Brian's eleventh.  Congratulations to all of you.
The high team game out of the money is determined the last game of the tournament.  Master Batters shot 732.  Daryl Anderson (258), Corey Hoffman (267), and Adam Wischhoefer (207) each received a check for $75.
Three bowlers had eleven in a row.  Ken Waltman shot a 290. Nate Hipp and Brian VanWert each shot a 298 for their eleven in a row.  Brian shot his the last game of the tournament and is the current leader in the progressive pot, which will be given away at the final tournament.  If nobody beats his score he will receive the $171 plus what is put in that day.
The KSBO would like to thank Jim Monahan from ALL STAR LANES for sponsoring the Round Table Pizza SWISS.  The SWISS is always a big under taking and as usual All Star Lanes and their staff did a great job hosting this tournament.  We look forward to next year.
There are a few people that I would like to thank personally.  Nicole Hansen, for all of her help in the office and selling the raffle tickets, and Alicia Soto for making the brackets run so smoothly.  Also the board of directors who made sure that everything ran smoothly and the turn around between games was quick.  It takes quite a few dedicated people to make sure that this tournament runs as smooth as it does from year to year and we are very lucky to have them in our organization.
Well, the next tournament is the grand finals.  It will be held April 24th at All Star Lanes.  At this time we do not have a sponsor for the open division but there is still over $2400 in added money.  The under is sponsored by LK AUTO REPAIR.  To be eligible for the open division of this tournament you must have paid into six tournaments (4 singles), and to be eligible for the under division you must have paid into five tournaments (4 singles).
This tournament costs more than the regular singles do.  The cost is $80 for the open division and $65 for the under division.  The tournament will start at Noon with check in beginning at 10:30.  You will bowl six games of qualifying and four games of semi-finals.  There are thirty-eight bowlers eligible in the open division and twenty-four in the under division.  Per our rules we will be cutting to the top sixteen in the open division and top eight in the under division.  As I stated there is over $2400 in added money in the open division and there is $1200 is added money for the under division.  So if you are eligible this is the tournament you do not want to miss.  Below is the list of those eligible.  If you believe that you are eligible and your name does not appear please contact me as soon as possible.  I will not be at the finals so Wayne Carson and Bernie Boyd will be acting in my place.  Of course any of the board should be able to help with any questions.  Have fun and bowl well.
