TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
A. Lineup will remain the same throughout the tournament. In case of emergency, sub will be allowed provided they do not exceed the maximum team average and will replace bowler in the respective spot.
B. Each team will consist of 3 members, mix or match, bowling (2) 6 game blocks. At least one bowler on each team must be a KSBO member. The team captain is responsible to see the bowlers follow the dress code.
C. Each game will be a position round. Total points will determine each position with ties being broken by total pinfall. Bowlers will draw for their starting lane the first game. Second game will begin on Lane 7 moving one pair right each game for starting position.
D.** HIGHEST BOOK AVERAGE OF PREVIOUS SEASON. If no previous season average, then use average based on 21 games as of 1 January, current season. If still no average then bowler must use previous years KSBO average based on 21 games of more. If still no average then bowler must use highest book average for the previous 5 years. If still no average then bowler will enter at 220. *If you are 10 pins or more higher than last years book as of 1 January, then you must use your 1 January average. If circumstance warrants, a bowler may petition for re-rate. Deadline to petition is two weeks prior to tournament. If you are using an average that is from out of the KSBO’s jurisdiction or a 1 January average then you must furnish written verification.
E. If we have an odd number of teams there will be a Dummy Team. In order to earn an individual point you must bowl at least your entering average minus fifteen or higher. In order to earn the team points you must be within your team average minus forty-five. The Dummy Team will also earn points and will be positioned accordingly after each game with points and no pin fall. At the end of the tournament the Dummy Team is discarded.
F. The Board of Directors has the right to refuse any entry into the tournament.
G. POINTS:
1. 1 point for each individual win (1/2 for ties).
2. 2 points for each team win (1 for ties).
3. Point ties broken by total pinfall. If ties on pinfall during
tournament, coin flip will determine position. If tied at
end of tournament 9th & 10th frame rolloff will determine
placement (this applies to 1st place only).
4. Each TEAM CAPTAIN is responsible for all SCORES and ENTERING
AVERAGES (failure to use correct average is grounds for team
disqualification).
5. Once sheet is signed by both captains, scores are final, as per
KSBO rule VII 1.B.
